Currently the station at Blackfriars on the District and Circle lines is closed while Network Rail make improvements to the railway station above. The existing railway overground services are unaffected.

Travelling through the station on the underground is quite a strange experience as they have left a few very dim lights on, so that you can read the signs, and the train slows down as it goes through.

The nearest underground stations are either Temple or Mansion House on the District line, both are a 6-7 minute walk away, or St Pauls on the Circle line. New blue signs have sprouted to point you on your way.
