It now costs 30p to spend a penny on a UK railway station

Something to remember if you need to go on many large railway stations, the cost of 'spending a penny' now costs 30p.

Not so long ago it was 20p, and in some stations like Charing Cross in London all the signs still say 20p until you actually get to the gate that lets you in. Its only 10p more but it was the cause of a queue at the entrance and more than a few heated words with the toilet attendant.

I wonder is this a symptom of the 'credit crunch'?
